Dataverse UNIMI guidelines for Milano University Press authors

Milano University Press (MUP) was conceived as an open-access publishing as an OA platform for disseminating research findings.

As part of its broader efforts, UNIMI enhances the dissemination of books and articles published with the Milano University Press by encouraging the deposit and sharing of data and supplementary materials related to MUP publications on the institutional data repository Dataverse UNIMI.

In line with an international push coming from funding bodies and scientific publishers who encourage the publication of data availability statements (i.e. statements indicating where to find data related to the production of books and articles), the institutional repository for research data Dataverse UNIMI allows users to deposit research data being discussed in their publications.

This facilitates comprehension of publications and data, providing readers with the opportunity to reuse research data. By depositing data on Data@UNIMI, MUP authors can take advantage of a digital object identifier (DOI) which is automatically generated by the repository and can be inserted inside publications and on journal’s landing page where the article is published and displayed.
